Der falsche Film is a form of live film theater in which the audience watches a film on a screen that is produced live in the cinema foyer.
The film character Ray Ben is catapulted out of his beloved, sleazy contingent film “Big Ben” and finds himself in the disappointing reality. Nothing is like in the movies; you have to take care of everything yourself. Even conversation doesn't happen on its own. While trying to get back into the movie, he meets Resa at the popcorn counter, who throws all his plans into disarray...
